To the Editor:

On July 31st, August 1st and 2nd the Fall River County Fair will be held in Edgemont. I personally would like to invite everyone to attend and show your support for the Fall River 4-H members. This year like last, the 4H organization will have a Dunk Tank for the enjoyment of the 4Hers and visitors. The tank, which was donated by the Pringle Fire Department, was a hit and I’d like to expand on its notoriety.

Are there any volunteers who would like to donate about an hour of their time and their body to support 4-H and have a lot of fun?

It would be great to have a few teachers (any interest Mrs. Hodorff, Mr. Hanson, Mrs. Berkley or Mrs. Haden?); or principals (how about it Mrs. Weiss, or Mrs. Powell?); a few coaches would do too ( Mr. Entwistle, Mr. Kramer or Mr. Hayes, any interest?)

County commissioners and those running for office; City officials (Hot Springs or Edgemont). Fair board members are welcome as are representatives of the Forest Service, National Park Service, S.D. Game Fish and Parks, Highway Patrol or Sheriff’s office (no doubt there is someone out there who would love the chance to dunk one of you). If you have that inkling to get wet you can contact me through the Fall River Extension Office at 745-5133.

If nothing else, come out and enjoy the fair. Remember the water is always warm in Edgemont.
