Hot Springs police and Fall River County sheriff’s report

HOT SPRINGS - Here is a synopsis of the calls answered by the Hot Springs city police and the Fall River County sheriff for May 13 through 19.

Information is taken from the public dispatch log at the sheriff’s office.

May 13

A total of 13 calls were listed on the log for May 13.

5:51 p.m. – Male caller reporting that someone stole a wheel off his vehicle last night. City officer sent to investigate.

8:54 a.m. – Subject in on 24-7 program failed test and was taken into custody.

12:05 p.m. – Caller reporting she is receiving harassing phone calls; deputy notified.

3:36 p.m. – Officer requesting assistance with a subject who ran. Male subject later found and arrested on warrant and other charges.

May 14

A total of 24 calls were listed on the log for May 14.

2:51 a.m. – City officer out on foot on Lincoln Avenue.

3:22 a.m. – City officer on foot requesting assistance at location and second officer dispatched. Three males and two females escorted home.

9:36 a.m. – Male caller informing dispatch that it appears dogs have been dumped over a bridge north of Duck Creek Road. Sheriff advised is aware and is investigating.

11:07 a.m. – Female reporting that someone ran into her car at the South Side Car Wash. Officer sent.

12:19 p.m. – Pennington County arrested a male for Fall River County probation violation. Subject transported to Fall River County jail.

12:45 p.m. – City officers arrested a female juvenile and transported to JSC.

12:59 p.m. – City officers arrested a male on a probation violation and transported him to the Fall River County jail.

4:46 p.m. – Male caller reporting theft from his residence in Edgemont.

6:41 p.m. – Female caller reporting that a juvenile from a detention center is calling her collect and she would like it to stop. Detention center was contacted.

9:17 p.m. – Female caller reporting that a man is in the river behind the Brookside. He can’t get out and she can’t get him out. City officer sent, subject was helped from river and given a ride home.

10:35 p.m. – Male reports that there are people in an apartment which is supposed to be empty. City officer sent and deputies supplied backup.

May 15

A total of 21 calls, 10 of them traffic stops, were listed on the log for May 15.

12:27 a.m. – Hot Springs officer responded to a residence for an unwanted subject.

11:27 a.m. – Custer County requesting assistance for potential bomb threat.

May 16

A total of 30 calls were listed on the log for May 16.

1:24 p.m. – Report of three-car accident on Fall River Road. No serious injuries reported.

3:22 p.m. – Female requesting an officer for a man lying on her porch. Male removed and transported to the State Home.

3:45 p.m. – Female requesting an officer come to the Brookside and speak with her about trouble she is having with another female there. Officer responded and female was arrested for simple assault and was transported to Fall River County jail.

4:16 p.m. – Highway Patrol officer arrested a male on a Fall River County warrant and transported him to the jail.

4:58 p.m. – Deputy and Chief of Police removed an evicted male from the Evans and transported him to the jail.

6:50 p.m. – Mother reporting that her daughter has run away. City officer took report.

9:48 p.m. – Female complaining that her neighbor’s music is too loud. Officer sent.

11:52 p.m. – Report of loud campers at Shep’s Canyon. Park Ranger sent.

May 17

A total of 21 calls were listed on the log for May 17.

1:21 a.m. – Report of a fight by the hospital; officers sent.

2:12 a.m. – Male arrested in Pennington County on Fall River County warrant.

4:45 p.m. – Graduation party requesting skateboarders be removed from the front of the auditorium.

11 p.m. – Received a call that an individual was being forced into a pickup. Officers responded; determined it was a father-daughter argument and everything was resolved.

11:11 p.m. – Oelrichs resident receiving harassing phone calls. Deputy responded and took care of the problem.

May 18

A total of eight calls were listed on the log for May 18.

1:55 a.m. – Received 911 call from The Bar reporting an assault. Officers responded and arrested subject for DUI.

2:51 p.m. – Female reporting an outhouse on fire on the 2000 block of Jennings.

May 19

A total of 17 calls were listed on the log for May 19.

12:43 a.m. – Pennington County jail called and they have a male on our warrant and he is ready to be picked up.

1:08 a.m. – Female caller reporting that she has been trying to close the Horsehead Bar for an hour and one male will not leave. Sheriff responded and gave subject ride home.

3:58 p.m. – Male reporting a sick deer in his yard on Baltimore that won’t get up.

5:37 p.m. – Male reporting a vehicle squealing his tires hear the skateboard park.

9:33 p.m. – Female caller reporting a male lying in her yard on Houston. Subject says he is hurt.

11:08 p.m. – Male caller requesting an officer escort he and his wife to the hospital. There had been a domestic disturbance and she had injured his hip. Officer sent, woman called and said she had no intention of going to the hospital.
