 Cards have been received announcing the marriage at Edgemont Sunday, June 17th of Mr. Charl Eben Martin and Miss Grace Mea Wyatt.  The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Wyatt, of Edgemont.  She is a talented, bright and beautiful young woman and one of the most popular young ladies of Edgemont.  Mr. Martin is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Martin, of Deadwood, and with his brother, Paul, is managing the big Martin Valley ranch north of this city, which position he has shown especial aptitude and ability.  He is a fine young man, whose large circle of friends will congratulate him upon his worthy choice of a helpmate.  The happy couple will be at home upon the ranch after August 1st.

Everyone remembers Ivy Baldwin, the balloonist and high wire walker who was here two years ago and gave such wonderful exhibitions.  He has again been secured for a balloon ascension each day and will walk the high wire over the canyon in the afternoon and again at night with special illumination features. The cable will be stretched from the hill near the Smith residence to the Sanitarium grounds at a height of about two hundred feet.  

For sale: A lot of household furniture will be sold at private sale. All good and in fine condition. Call Tuesday and Wednesday, June 26th and 27th at Mrs. L.A. Stabler’s residence, Mammoth Springs Addition, Hot Springs, S.D. There is also a lot of fine Wind Cave specimens to be sold.   

 James Caslar and Mrs. Nannie Putnam of Oelrichs, Tuesday were granted a license by Clerk of the Courts Star, to be wedded, and it is understood, the wedding took place in the afternoon and the newly married couple left on a short honeymoon immediately thereafter. Both are well known in Oelrichs and popular, and have many friends who will wish them joy.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Bondurant of this place.  She is now conducting a hotel business at Oelrichs.  Her many Gap friends join with the Gazette is wishing her happiness in her new relation—from The Buffalo Gap Gazette. 

Slate River Valley—F. Fredrick and family Sundayed at the R. Bachman home.  Dr. Willoughby, from Winfred, this state, visited several days in our community. A goodly number from here attended the dance at Rehfelt’s Saturday night and all report a dandy time.  Quite a few of the neighbors gathered at the Wm. Coleman home Sunday and spent the day eating ice cream and cake.

F.A. Anstett, who conducts a big garage in Oelrichs, was transacting business in the city yesterday. Jack Gillespie and a party of friends from his home town of DeSmet, this state, spent a few days the first of the week at Sylvan Lake. Miss Sue Osmotherly, who has been attending the University of Wisconsin at Madison, arrived Wednesday to spend the summer vacation with her parents. 

Beckhart & Tripp have opened the Evans Soda Fountain in the rooms formerly occupied by the Evans Bar. The boys have done a nice business since opening and we bespeak for them a continuation of same.
