Police and sheriff department’s weekly report

HOT SPRINGS - Here is a synopsis of the calls answered by the Hot Springs city police and the Fall River County sheriff for Jan. 29 through Feb. 4. Information is taken from the public dispatch log at the sheriff’s office.

January 29

A total of six calls were listed on the log for Jan. 29.

2:47 a.m. n Coroner requested at Cactus Hills.

8:41 p.m. n Rapid City Police picked up a male on a Fall River County warrant. Subject taken to Pennington County jail for holding.

11:01 a.m. n Ambulance call for a male who fell in front of Heartland Real Estate and sustained a gash on his head. Hot Springs Ambulance paged and responded; city officer dispatched to assist.

January 30

A total of 21 calls, 12 of them for traffic stops, were listed on the log for Jan. 30.

2:19 a.m. n Report of a male passed out in his vehicle at Coffee Cup. Deputy sent; subject arrested on traffic charges.

9:02 a.m. n City officer responded to an alarm going off at Amoco Food Shop; turned out to be a false alarm.

3:33 p.m. n Anonymous male caller reporting a male and female driving around smoking marijuana; city officers advised.

4:54 p.m. n Hot Springs Ambulance and city officer responded to a call on South Fourth Street.

7:35 p.m. n Male needing a deputy for a confrontation with his son; deputy sent.

9:02 p.m. n Female reporting that she was assaulted by a male on Sixth Street; city officers sent.

9:12 p.m. n Fall River Hospital reporting a male involved in an assault in Bennett County. Subject did not wish to talk to law enforcement.

January 31

A total of 26 calls, 13 of them for traffic stops, were listed on the log for Jan. 31.

1:03 a.m. n Officer noticed lights on at the Pioneer Museum. Keyholder contacted and building searched.

9:43 a.m. n Hot Springs Ambulance paged to take a call in front of H&R Block. Elderly male fell outside and bumped his head. Subject treated on the scene.

10:46 a.m. n Male turned himself in to Fall River County jail on a Pennington County warrant. Held for Pennington County transport.

4:09 p.m. n Female at Hot Springs Middle School requesting an officer to remove a student that had been asked to leave and refused; city officer sent.

5:53 p.m. n Male reporting his neighbor’s are fighting all the time and he can’t get any sleep. City officer sent; informed people if she was called again, someone was leaving.

7:04 p.m. n Female caller reporting receiving harassing phone calls from another female; deputy advised.

9:13 p.m. n Male caller reported his son was not following the rules; deputy did not find the boy.

11:38 p.m. n Report of an assault at the Motel 6; officers sent; male arrested.

February 1

A total of 17 calls, 15 of them traffic stops, were listed on the log for Feb. 1.

10:25 a.m. n Report of a vehicle crossing the center line and speeding near Black Hills Federal Credit Union; city officer attempted to locate but was unable.

10:45 p.m. n Request of ambulance at Heartland Trailer Court; Hot Springs Ambulance sent.

February 2

A total of 20 calls were listed on the log for Feb. 2.

2:57 a.m. n Female reporting her juvenile daughter is not at home; officer sent. Juvenile found and returned to parents.

3:23 p.m. n Male arrested on local warrant.

4:14 p.m. n Report of unsupervised children in Edgemont. Turned over to deputy.

5:22 p.m. n Male arrested in Pennington County on Fall River County warrant.

6:46 p.m. n Report of a vehicle driving recklessly in the alley behind Black Hills Federal Credit Union; officer sent. Female arrested on traffic charges.

9:09 p.m. n Male at the State Home concerned that two individuals are going to assault him; officers sent.

9:44 p.m. n Male reporting someone pounding on his door on Evanston; officer sent.

February 3

A total of six calls were listed on the log for Feb. 3.

1:20 a.m. n Received a call from a female who advised her father is visiting her in Rapid City and there is an underage party going on at his residence here right now. Deputy went to check it out and no problems were found.

2:21 a.m. n City officer found an intoxicated individual at the Rodeway Inn. Gave him a ride to his residence with no incident.

6:51 a.m. n Female in Hot Springs reporting a dead deer in her driveway. City units responded and determined deer had killed itself jumping a fence.

2:19 p.m. n Received a call from a female stating her daughter was assaulted last night; city officer dispatched to her location.

February 4

A total of nine calls were listed on the log for Feb. 4.

5:49 a.m. n Male reported three crosswalk signs on the center line in Wind Cave Park; advised city officer to determine if we are missing any.

11:38 a.m. n Male calling from Colorado wanting assistance in locating a juvenile daughter in Hot Springs area. Requested police pick her up and hold her and he’ll come and get her; city officer advised.

6:42 p.m. n Male requesting an unwanted couple be removed from his residence.

7:09 p.m. n Female reporting an intoxicated male near the elementary school; she is afraid he is going to get hit.

7:52 p.m. n Female reporting two males in Lynn’s parking lot looking in car windows, appeared to be intoxicated.
